It is our responsibility to help each other. There are many passages in the Bible to support brotherhood. Do not be afraid to seek help from your brother, also do not hesitate to help others.
Help fist, Suggest next
Do not judge your brother when he approaches to get help from you. God is the only judge. 1 Corinthians 4:5 says, "It is the Lord who judges me" Let us not refuse our brother based on our own judgement of his behaviour or character.
How it is possible ?
Not all the times it is possible to help others on our own. The solution for this problem is maintaining common treasure in our church as per the bible verse "All the believers were together and had every thing in common. Acts 22:44-45
Abraham and Lot
Sometimes we may get into bad situations to help others but we should not stop. Consider Abraham and Lot, when Lot was in Sodom, Abraham prayed about him. Abraham's prayer was not a requesting prayer but it was convincing a prayer to the Lord(Genesis 18:23-25).
No Rules
When God places the needy before us, the only option is helping them. In Mathew 12:10-12 Pharisees opposed Jesus to heal someone on Sabbath but Luke 13:15-16 explains us that no rule is over us while helping.
Come Forward
You must come forward to seek help from others. According to Nehemiah 2:7-9, he not only prayed but seeks help from others. God is one who is enough to provide all the resources which are for your need.
