For centuries many of the world's distinguished
philosophers have assaulted Christianity as being irrational, superstitious and
absurd. Many have chosen simply to ignore the central issue of the
resurrection. Others have tried to explain it away through various theories.
But the historical evidence just can't be discounted. A student at the
University of Uruguay said to me. "Professor McDowell, why can't you
refute Christianity?""For a very simple reason," I answered.
"I am not able to explain away an event in history--the resurrection of
Jesus Christ."How can we explain the empty tomb? Can it possibly be
accounted for by any natural cause?...by Josh McDowell
Christianity in the first century was the most beautiful
icon of Christianity. During this period
we have seen the characteristics of the church of Christ in its fullness. It lived as the Lord planed for it with no
deviation from its objectives as a communion and as individuals. This period is the gloriest- one in the
entire church history, and this is why I delayed talking about it until the end
of this series. It is sad to report that
starting from the Fourth century the church began to loose its pure
characteristics as a result of many factors that I am going to refer to in this
article....by Victor Beshir
Why
should we have some understanding of how the Bible came to us? Young children
often think that milk comes in cartons from the grocery store. As they grow up
they learn that milk comes from cows on the farm. Likewise many Christians have
become so used to having Bibles that they have bought at a book store that they
have almost no knowledge of where the present English translations of the Bible
came from. Understanding how the Bible came to us gives us a confident
foundation for our faith in the reliability the Bible. Evidence presented in a
criminal case must be shown to have been protected by a proper chain of custody
from being tampered with.We will be able to answer to critics when they claim
that the New Testament contains 200,000 errors. We will have some understanding
of why the newer translations such as the NIV and NASV differ from the King James Versions at
various points....Read More

The sound we hear is being played on a perfect
little musical instrument inside our ear. The sound waves go down the auditory
canal and are carried by the bones of the middle ear to the cochlea, which is
rolled up like a tiny sea shell. The outer ear operates in air. But the cochlea
is filled with liquid, and transferring sound waves from air to liquid is one
of the most difficult problems known to science. Three tiny bones called the
ossicles are just right to do the job that enables us to hear properly.
Interestingly, the size of these little bones does not change from the time we
are born...Much more by Joseph Paturi
